Error message when you reopen the Job Task Lines dialog box from a job card in
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0: "The filter '1000..9990|' is invalid. A value or interval
is missing in the filter in the Job Task No. field in the Job Planning Line table"
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0:
• You open the Job Task Lines dialog box from a job card.
• You enter a wrong value in the Totaling field in the Job Task Lines dialog
box. For example, you enter "1000..9990|" instead of "1000..9990" in the Totaling
field.
• You close the Job Task Lines dialog box.
• You reopen the Job Task Lines dialog box from the job card.
In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following error
message:
The filter ‘1000..9990|’ is invalid. A value or interval is missing in the filter
in the Job Task No. field in the Job Planning Line table. For information about
entering filters, see the online Help.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is only intended
to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems
that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional
testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend
that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 service pack or the next
version that contains this hotfix.
Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may
be canceled if a Technical Support Professional for Microsoft Dynamics and related
products determines that a specific update will resolve your problem. The usual
support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not
qualify for the specific update in question.
