Opdatering til Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) 4.0 Service Pack 2

 
Nedenfor kan guldmedlemmer downloade en opdatering til Navision 4.0 Service Pack 2.
 
Denne opdatering inkluderer alle opdateringer som tidligere er frigivet til Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 (Navision) Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2. Denne opdatering inkluderer også alle hotfixes som er frigivet til Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) 4.0.

Procedure for installation af opdateringen:
  1. Luk Navision 4.0
  2. Lav en sikkerhedskopi af den nuværende Navision 4 database
  3. Erstat filerne i den nuværende installation med filerne som er vedlagt i denne opdatering. Standardplaceringen for Navision klienten er følgende: C:\Programmer\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client  (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client)
  4. Start Navision 4.0
 
Bemærk: Når du installerer denne opdatering vil databasen bliver versionsopdateret. Hvis du får brug for at gå tilbage til den tidligere klient skal sikkerhedskopien fra step 2 benyttes.

Bemærk: Denne opdatering indeholder også en oversat Fin.stx og fin.etx fil. For hvert enkelt sprog er placeret i sin egen mappe. Hvis du installerer denne opdatering på en PC som bruger en lokal version af Navision, skal disse filer også erstattes.

An update for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 Service Pack 2 is available. This update includes all the updates that were released for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2. This update also includes all the hotfixes that were released for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0.

Note We recommend that you create a full database backup before you apply this update.
 
 
To install this update, follow these steps:
  1. Exit Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0.
  2. Make a backup of your current Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 database.
  3. Replace the files in the current installation with the files that are included in this update. By default, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 is installed in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client
  4. Start Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0.

 

Note When you install this update, the version of the database is updated. If you must revert to the original client and to an earlier version of the database, make sure that you use the backup of the database that you made in step 2.

 

Security synchronization

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 contains a comprehensive security system that enables you to manage all the users' access to the objects and to the data in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 database. This database is stored on a computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server. Therefore, the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system must work together with the SQL Server security system to make sure that only authorized users gain access to the database. To do this, the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system uses a synchronization mechanism. This mechanism makes sure that the information in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system corresponds to the information in the SQL Server security system.

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0, you can specify the level of security that you want to implement in each database. You specify the level of security by selecting one of the following security models:
  • Standard Security
  • Enhanced Security
The main differences between these security models are as follows:
  • The way that they synchronize the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system with SQL Server
  • The way that they integrate the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system with Microsoft Windows authentication
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 security system is not synchronized automatically when you perform any of the following actions:
  • Change the security model
  • Restore a backup
  • Convert a database
  • Update the executable files
  • Update the application
To change the security model, one of the following conditions must be true:
  • You are a member of the sysadmin server role in SQL Server. Or, you are a member of the db_owner database role for the database in question.
  • You are assigned the SUPER role in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0.

Additionally, if you want to change security models, both of the extended stored procedures must be added to the instance of SQL Server that you are using. These extended stored procedures are part of the xp_ndo.dll file that is on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 CD. These extended stored procedures are the xp_ndo_enumusergroups procedure and the xp_ndo_enumusersids procedure.

Prerequisites
You must have a license to run Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 to install this update.

information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

Note This update also includes a translated Fin.stx file and a translated Fin.etx file. Each translated file is located in a specific language folder. When you install this update on a computer that has a local version of Microsoft
Dynamics NAV 4.0 installed, you must replace these translated files.
